Lauren, Travis & K9 Rocky
Our rescue pup Rocky developed significant fear aggression around strangers during lockdown. He’s overall an anxious guy and not having regular socialization to people other than my partner and I really took a toll on him this past 1+ year. It was becoming problematic for us to have anyone over to our house, even for 5 minutes as it would send Rocky into a tailspin of nerves and barking, which is wasn’t good for us, our guests, or Rocky. Then we found Raquel. I can’t say enough how Rocky’s board and train changed our lives! He is now more confident in all types of situations, and even when he is unsure of something, he now has the tools to handle it more gracefully and trust us as his handlers. In just the first week back from training, we had multiple people over that he had tried to bite in past experiences, and with all of them the most he did was a bark or two and then he relaxed and just hung out with us like one of the gang. Before we felt lost and honestly a little hopeless, not sure how else to help our boy. But now we are able to support him in showing his happy, snuggly self to our friends and family! That would not be possible without Raquel’s time, dedication, and love. Rocky’s got another “person” for life!

If you are looking for peace of mind and also the added bonus of knowing that your dog is having an equally great time as you are when you travel then look no further. Raquel is amazing and takes exceptional care of my dog whenever I am away. I love the fact Raquel offers add-ons so that my super active pup is also able to hike and go on adventures with her and socialize with her two incredibly friendly/playful personal dogs. Raquel is an excellent communicator and sends updates regularly as well as posts on her IG so this dog momma can spy on her furbaby and not feel guilty about leaving her because she is ALWAYS having a blast. As someone who rarely trusts anyone to watch my dog I can genuinely say that I always know she is in great hands when she stays with Raquel.

Stacie & K9 Mac
I sent my dog down to Raquel for some basic commands and leash training. She was very good with Mac and me, explaining everything and sending me videos and pictures. I would text her all the time asking how he was and if he was doing ok and she always took the time to answer. Very professional and she treated Mac like one of her own. I like the fact that when I went to pick him up she gave me a sheet of commands and ways to continue with his training. Mac is doing very well and I’m learning to be strong on my end too.
I would recommend Raquel for training to anyone who needs it.

Georgie & K9 Rooster
When Raquel announced she was breeding Alaska and Elroy, I inquired right away, knowing that they were everything I wanted in my future dog - social, happy, energetic, stable, confident, biddable dogs - everything a good lab should be! Raquel has done all the health testing and proving her dogs to ensure that breeding them is truly bettering the breed. From our initial conversation, I knew that not only would we be getting our dream puppy, but that Raquel was going to be the perfect breeder for us. She knows her dogs very well, she is easy to communicate with, and she cares deeply about every puppy she has produced. While she was raising the litter, we got regular updates and photos, she shared so much about each puppy and their developing personalities. After temperament testing, she paired us with a spunky, confident, playful male puppy. Rooster is exactly what we wanted in our puppy - full of drive, energy, and happiness with a beautiful offswitch from day one. We have been in contact with Raquel regularly, asking questions, sharing successes, and sending photos and videos - Raquel has always responded with support and kindness. I love having a breeder who is so happy to talk and share because I learn so much more about my puppy and where some of his behaviors come from - like how he likes to sleeps on my pillow at night just like Alaska or how he stares deeply into our eyes just like Elroy. And she shares about his siblings too so I know so much about his family, which has made raising him so special. I can’t speak highly enough of my puppy either - Rooster is such an incredible dog, so confident and stable, easy to bring anywhere, and very social. He has pretty low arousal, but very high drive and energy so he is so fun to play and train with. He is easy to travel with, unfazed by new places, people, dogs - he settles very well. Like Alaska, he is very quiet, he’s only barked a few times since he was about 4 months old. He fits in perfectly with our two older dogs - he happily plays, shares space, and is very respectful of them (and all dogs, he is very good at reading dogs’ signals and responding appropriately). He is pure sunshine and happiness in the form of a dog - the perfect Labrador Retriever! He is also healthy and his puppyhood went smoothly. Rooster helps me in sessions with my training clients and is starting his sport career, he earned his first title (Fetch Novice) last month and will be attending his second tracking workshop this weekend.
Rooster is everything we dreamed of and more - I know there will be more Climbing Stone labs in our future because Raquel produces beautiful, healthy field labs who make wonderful companions, sport dogs, and detection dogs!

Maria & K9 Mumble
I have a goofy dog Mumble, a mini bernadoodle who is an energetic 80 lbs burst of endless energy. He had knocked me on my back in the park I didn’t know what hit me. My parents who are in their 90’s live with me. Needless to say I need Mumble to listen, obey and stay. I also want to be able to walk him off leash.
Raquel worked out a miracle. Mumble is able to walk off leash. He listen and HE OBEYS. I so much enjoy my crazy dude. His energy is still endless but he totally goes to his place, sits, down, drops and sleeps in his crate. He tries to pull the wool over my eyes because he knows I love him. Yet he is disciplined. LOVE HIM.!!!! Thank you Raquel. Forever in your debt. Mumble thanks you too!!!

Rachel & K9 Maggie + Sadie
My husband and I adopted two adult dogs in the past year. Both pups came from long-term shelter situations and brought with them the traumas from that experience. Raquel has helped us so much in supporting and giving these girls what they need.
One of our dogs is very reactive and fearful of other dogs and men. With Raquel’s help she is so much better on her leash and we are able to give her walks. Our other pup lacks confidence. Raquel showed us some ways we can work to increase that and also build our bond. It feels so good to know you are giving your dog what they need to live happier, fuller lives.
Raquel has become an invaluable resource for us. We have used her services for training and boarding and recommend both without reservation. She also answers texts between sessions, which has been great.

Raquel is an expert in dog training. She grounds her love of dogs with sound behavioral expertise. She has helped me to understand dog behavior and how best to bond with my dog to succeed with her training.
I also feel very reassured when I board my dog with Raquel. I know that I can trust her to consider my dog's needs and that she isn't simply collecting a paycheck (saying that because there are some places I've boarded my dog where it is clear that is the case, unfortunately). I can tell my dog trusts her every time my reluctant pup goes over to Raquel quickly and excitedly for pets - my dog feels safe too.
I have recommended Raquel to everyone struggling with training. Raquel takes training seriously and provides professional, thorough sessions.
You can trust your pup with Raquel!

Leslie & K9 Angie
I cannot say enough about how knowledgeable and responsive Raquel is. She helped us from day 1 as first-time dog owners, and then spent four weeks supporting the training of our lab. We feel so much more comfortable in her training as a result of Raquel and have an even stronger relationship with our dog. I look forward to follow up lessons with her, and she will be looking out for our puppy whenever we are out of town. She is truly the best!

Raquel worked with my large, reactive dog and completely changed our relationship. She really knows what she is doing and was successful with our dog when so many others we tried before here were not. Highly recommend.

To anyone looking for a dog trainer, look no further.
Raquel is professional, kind, responsive and accommodating.
She takes the time to get to know you, your lifestyle and your dog to create a tailor-made plan. She is very responsive, answers questions promptly and makes sure they're answered to your satisfaction. Raquel has been an invaluable resource and genuinely wants to see you succeed. She not only helps you get the results you want with your dog- her process enables you to strengthen your connection with your dog.
I came to Raquel for assistance with my 2 year old Australian Shepherd for off leash recall and reactivity to other dogs. From not being able to go out in my own yard without a leash and reacting to every single dog she walks past; I'm able to take my dog off leash in public and walk past a dog with no reactivity. Using the tools Raquel has given us my dog is obviously happier and more confident.
My life and relationship with my dog have been transformed in the best way possible thanks to Raquel & Mountain Bound K9.
I would not hesitate to recommend her services to anyone.
